	Sunagakure No Sato Sunagakure (砂隠れの里, Sunagakure no Sato, Literally meaning: Village Hidden by Sand) is the hidden village of the Land of Wind. As the village of one of the Five Great Shinobi Countries, Sunagakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Kazekage, of which there have been five in its history. Being surrounded by desert offers the village a natural deterrent against invasion, as few foreign powers would be willing to endure the sandstorms and water scarcity common to Suna. Sunagakure itself lies in a fortified valley behind cliffs of rock, with passage in and out of the village restricted to a single cleft between two cliff faces, making the area very hard to attack from the ground. The buildings inside seem to be made of clay or stucco, which would help to keep the buildings cool.	0	0
	The Demon Desert The Demon Desert (魔の砂漠, Ma no Sabaku) is a desert located in the Land of Wind, far away from the actual Sunagakure. It serves as the stage for the second phase of the joint Chūnin Exams, and is roughly the equivalent to Konohagakure's Forest of Death. One of the dangers in this area is that giant scorpions come out during certain times of the year, posing a serious threat to anyone wandering within the premises. It is also home of poisonous cacti, areas with quicksand and sand currents, as well as old ruins with a nest of gigantic, sturdy ants. Enclosed by a fortress wall, the terrain is mostly sandy. Furthermore, there are cacti and rock formations in the area. There is also a Sand Waterfall Pit located in the desert. Due to the desert's vastness, there are very few oasis and natural springs where fresh water can be found. Not only that there are ruins of past civilisations within the desert that are turned into battlefields between chūnin hopefuls.	0	0
